The Usyk is an Olympic gold medalist, triple undisputed title holder and undefeated in twenty-four professional bouts.
Oleksandr Usyk states he plans to keep boxing for the next 24 months and plans to return to the ring in the year 2026, but dismissed a fight with UK heavyweight Moses Itauma.
Usyk, thirty-eight, stopped Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in the summer to achieve status as a double unified heavyweight champion.
The Ukrainian, who had once owned every major world titles at cruiserweight, had earlier suggested that he'd only box only once more before hanging up his gloves.
But, the top-rated star seems to have reversed that decision.
"I'll fight until I'm 41," Usyk stated on the R2F platform. "After that I'll build a training center - I'll coach there and train others."
Usyk mentioned he is back to training after being sidelined due to a injury which led to the delay of a fight with World Boxing Organization required opponent Joseph Parker.
He stated that, "If all goes well", he will return in 2026 but dismissed 20-year-old Chatham fighter Itauma as a potential opponent.
"No, I refuse to face Itauma," Usyk stated. "He is youthful - always teasing me. He also mentioned personally he won't strike veterans."
"I can't say who specifically [{I'll fight next|I will face next|my next bout will be against] because talks are ongoing. I'd be lying if I gave you a name."
The British boxer improved his undefeated streak to thirteen victories, with eleven KOs, by defeating former world title challenger Dillian Whyte in under two minutes in the summer.
World Boxing Association has ordered its regular titleholder Kubrat Pulev to meet Itauma in his next bout, although the Bulgarian is keen to protect his title against Murat Gassiev in Dubai in the winter.
